This is a great opportunity for an experienced electrician to join our state-of-the-art cement manufacturing facility in north-central Arizona!

As a Plant Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance, inspection, installation and repair of all instrumentation and electrical equipment at the cement plant. Requires an understanding of the critical nature of supporting the production functions at the Plant through excellent and professional service, while ensuring safe work procedures and compliance with environmental regulations and product quality requirements.

This is a full-time, permanent position with a full benefits package and competitive pay. The successful candidate must be available to work all shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. Comprehensive training is provided.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Profile

  • Associate degree in related electrical program and 2 years of practical experience (Cement Plant desirable) or at least 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of application, testing, maintenance and repair of industrial equipment
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Reads and produces technical drawings, sketches, and wiring diagrams; shows as-built changes.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Performs activities related to the electrical maintenance, inspection, installation, and/or repair of all instrumentation/electrical equipment of the cement plant such as motors, remote I/Os, VFDs, PLCs, soft starters, control panels, motor control centers, instruments, analyzers, wiring among others.
  • Schedules, and performs preventative maintenance, repair, and calibration of all electrical cement plant equipment (motors, MCCs, control panels, VFDs, etc.).
  • Maintains appropriate records and establishes maintenance and inspection schedules in coordination with the Preventive Maintenance group.
  • Ensures proper cleaning, adjustment and/or greasing of electrical parts.
  • Analyzes procedures and methods and seeks improvements.
  • Inspects completed work for conformity to statutory and company regulations, checks integrity of equipment used and ensures that all required tests are done prior to turn back equipment or system to operations.
  • Ensures that safety procedures are followed on all work assignments.
  • Completes work as requested by the Electrical department manager/supervisor/lead or other plant supervisors to support plant operations.

The Maintenance Mechanic/Millwright is responsible for continuously inspecting plant mechanical equipment to identify issues, predict failures, and make repairs. The overall goal is to drive measurable improvements in equipment operation. Training is provided and includes a full benefits package.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Perform area inspections of plant equipment to identify problems to a predictive maintenance mindset
  2. Inspects completed work for conformity to company regulations; checks integrity of equipment used and ensures that all required tests are done prior to turning over equipment to production.
  3. Performs preventative maintenance repairs of all cement plant equipment (roller presses, crushers, ball mills, pumps, compressors, screening equipment, conveying equipment)
  4. Analyze all jobs with a focus on safety and properly execute a Job Hazard Analysis and Workplace Exam.
  5. Troubleshoots the cause of the broken equipment and perform proper repairs.
  6. Assists the Maintenance Supervisor in training new personnel
  7. Sets up equipment for jobs performed by contractors
  8. Maintains appropriate records, produces written reports and follows inspection schedules in coordination with Maintenance Management.
  9. Analyzes procedures and methods and makes recommendations on new ways to improve the area.


·Mechanical maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with prior experience in the cement or mining industry desirable.
· Millwright-level skills are highly desirable
·High School diploma required; some coursework or certifications in industrial maintenance skills are preferred.

· Ability to work long days based upon operational needs is necessary; flexibility to work overnight shifts and weekends is required.

Drake Cement in Paulden, AZ seeks to fill one (1) job opening for a Supply Chain Analyst. Duties include:

  • Responsible for Inventory Control, the Cycle Counting program, Kitting process, general continuous improvement projects, learning both the warehouse functions as well as the Purchasing / procurement functions and various inventory and system attribute analysis (Reorder points, Min/Max settings, MRP, etc.).
  • Coordinate activities with other departments to promote safe and efficient operations and optimum inventory levels to meet operating unit's working capital targets.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in various Supply Chain related projects.
  • Develop logistic solutions to procure raw materials.
  • Coordinate with the Accounts Payable team to pay our critical vendors on time.
  • Develop and update operating procedures, including procurement, inventory records, control systems and stocking procedures.
  • Perform daily Cycle Count audits for inventory accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and implementing countermeasures to improve inventory accuracy.
  • As part of the Kitting Implementation Team work cross-functionally to develop/define/document and maintain a smooth kitting process.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Establish procedures to ensure all purchased materials flow through store controls, including proper SAP reservations and quality controls.
  • Ensure proper policies are being followed by all plant and warehouse employee (Inventory Control).
  • Report all the project and initiatives to the management as well as their progress.
  • Actively search for secondary sources of raw materials (Iron ORE, Bauxite, Aluminum, Gypsum, Petcoke, Coal).
  • Actively search for alternative haulers to transport raw materials from the source to Paulden.
  • Facilitate positive and professional working relationships with managers, team members and external customers.
  • Analyze issues, establish priorities, develop procedures, and effectively solve problems.

Job Requirements: Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field and two years of relevant supply chain or purchasing experience in an industrial environment. All relevant experience must include: SAP; procurement and pricing concepts; purchasing, shipping, receiving and inventory control concepts. Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) which can be gained through coursework or experience.
